Cocker Spaniel Society
The society currently has over 200 members, holds monthly meetings, where all members are welcome and produces a high quality newsletter every 2 months.
The society hosts 2 Championship shows each year in February & August and since 1984 we have held a Contest Of Cockers event in conjunction with our Christmas Party. Point Scores have had a checkered history and we have settled into holding Obedience point scores for Novice, Open & UD and Puppy Of the Year & Opposite Sex Puppy of the Year Point Score competition and The Lambrigg Trophy, for the most successful exhibitor for the year at the NSW & ACT Cocker Shows.
The Society ensure a large presence at the yearly Sydney Pet Expo, generally held in November, which sees members staffing an exhibit with their dogs over a 3 day period talking to the public and generally highlighting our wonderful breed.
We also have a members' day, for new & old members where we can share information on breeding, showing, grooming, obedience, handling & just enjoy our dogs. These are usually held in October each year.
